What we collect when you use this website, why, and what we do with it. In plain terms, because there is not much of it.
Who we are
JPS Services (South) Ltd is an interior fit-out and flat roofing contractor with offices in Cardiff and Royston, registered at Portland House, 113–116 Bute Street, Cardiff, CF10 5EQ (company number 07761962). What we collect, and why
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to send us through the enquiry form: your name, your email address, and, if you give them, your company, your phone number and what you tell us about the project. With it we record which page you sent it from, which page you first arrived on, the website that sent you here if there was one, and any campaign tags on the link you followed, so we know which of our efforts brought you in. We use all of this to reply to your enquiry and, if it becomes a job, to carry out that work. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to get in touch, and our legitimate interest in answering.
We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
Where it is kept
Enquiries are stored in a database hosted for us by Supabase, and the website is hosted by Vercel. A copy of each enquiry is also emailed to our office through Resend, an email delivery service. All three act as processors on our instructions, under contracts that require them to protect the information. Our office staff read enquiries through a password-protected page of this site and in that email. Data may be stored on servers outside the UK; where it is, the transfer is covered by the UK Addendum to the standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with the matter you raised, and for up to two years afterwards so that we can pick a conversation back up. If an enquiry leads to a contract, the details become part of the project record and are kept for as long as our contractual and legal obligations require, which for construction work is typically twelve years from completion.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies for visitors. The only cookies it uses are the sign-in cookies for our own staff on the administration pages, which are strictly necessary for that sign-in to work. While you browse, your browser holds a note of the page you arrived on in its session storage; it is only ever sent to us if you submit the enquiry form, and it is discarded when you close the tab. We measure how the site is used with Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and counts page views in aggregate without identifying you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to our using it. Email info@jps-south.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If what this site collects changes, this notice will change with it. Last updated 24 September 2026.
